如果您正在使用IMAP从远程服务器获取邮件，则将通过升序IMAP UID来订购邮件。默认情况下，the higher the number, the more recently it was added to the folder：

Unique identifiers
are assigned in a strictly ascending fashion in the [folder]; as each
message is added to the [folder] it is assigned a higher UID than the
message(s) which were added previously.

但是，这并不意味着邮件是通过IMAP以升序日期顺序下载的。如果将邮件从一个文件夹移动到另一个文件夹，它将获得一个新的UID并移动到新文件夹中的最后一个位置。如果重置IMAP UID有效值，则所有投注均已关闭 - 消息可以按任何顺序重新编号。
